So maybe as one of my first official blog spots I should write about one of my favorite things. MY SON Owen... Now I love my girls they are just a joy to me, but I will say that this boy of mine has me wrapped around his chubby little hands.
So first off Owen has to be hands down my most difficult child. He doesn't like to nap. Its a good day when I can get him to take an hour nap in the morning and an hour nap in the afternoon. But as proven yesterday, if we are out and about and he can see that no one else is napping he doesn't need a nap either. He really one like three food fruit, cheese and spaghetti. Anything else is comical to feed him and just a waste because he just won't eat it. He learned at a very young age what the shaking of the head means "NO." Also I don't know if this is a boy thing or not but the boy can poop like a champ.
He is a huge mommas boy. It has been proven many times over and over that I'm really the only one that he prefers. Yes he has acted like Neal is beating him when Neal took Owen from my arms to let me cook dinner or do other things that moms are required to do with two hands. He is keenly aware of when I leave the room. But when I came back into the room the welcome is all worth it. Hugs and wet open mouth slobber kisses await me almost every time I am back in his possession. He is my only child that has ever like to snuggle. He will just come up and lean on me or lay on the couch or in bed with me. I have a soft spot for the snuggles.
I really haven't figures out why he is the cutest, most, lovable boy at his worst times, but I think I might all come down to that now I have my boy I can now indulge in my train obsession.
What a great first post. I love trains too but Bug is not, so maybe Ladybug will??? She seems to enjoy Bug's toy football.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean--boys are so much fun!!! There's just something special between a mommy and her little boy. Mine both have me wrapped around their little fingers... Owen is so cute!
ReplyDeleteJenny!! Your kids are so cute.. I have a feeling that your Mae is the firecracker, eh? (The red hair and the name have me already.... she is heaven)....
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family. Since I also have three girls and a boy, I can say that I appreciated your boy post, because I struggle with my boy--he is loud, crazy, breaks things, etc, etc. Basically he is not a girl...and I am working on not being too hard on him and letting his little boy spirit shine... this is a good reminder...
Glad to see a blog, it is the best way to catch up!
Hey Jenny, Abby told me about your blog. I am excited to see pictures of your cute family and to see what you are up to! Abby said you are going to make it private. When you do, send me an invite (miles51102@q.com). I will invite you to mine too!
